In July, the voyage calculator had another round of upgrades - all based on our customer feedback

We also made it much clearer for operators to see how TC IN hire costs are allocated across voyages or TC OUT contracts

Calculate a voyage quickly - or in detail - it’s your choice

You should be able to run a voyage calculation with the minimum of inputs. With ClearVoyage, there is no need to enter detail which isn’t needed for the P&L - such as the charterer’s name. 

You can add further detail for the voyage when you fix the estimate

And now, you can customise the voyage calculation with your default settings such as your preferred sea margin.

For operators, it is key to understand how each voyage or TC is performing. A crucial part of that is in the cost of hiring the vessel.

ClearVoyage now has a simple “allocation” table on every voyage or TC - where you can see what hire costs have been allocated to this contract

Elements such as hire and off hire are allocated automatically based on which voyage or TC they fall under

And you have full control of how you’d like to allocate other hire costs such as “charterer’s expenses” (under the TC in)

Master’s ETA for a more accurate itinerary

You can now enter the master’s ETA on a port call on the itinerary

Since it is a more accurate assessment of when the vessel will arrive in port - it takes priority over the ETA calculated by ClearVoyage. All future ETAs and ETDs will be recalculated on the basis of the master’s ETA

It’s just another way that we have improved the itinerary within ClearVoyage to make the scheduling and P&L forecasting more accurate
